Sunday, March 8, ± 10pm CET, the podcast “Jan & Christina” (Dutch spoken) went online. In three episodes, Katinka Baehr (NTR/VPRO) is following Jan Banning as he is trying to contribute to the release of Christina Boyer, an American woman who has been wrongfully detained in Pulaski Women’s Prison in Georgia (USA) for almost 28 years for supposedly murdering her three-year-old daughter Amber. Also, he is working – with contributions from Christina – on a book and an exhibition about her history (to be published and shown in 2021). In less than 24 hours, “Jan & Christina” got to #1 on the list of most popular podcasts in the Netherlands.
